PIANO LESSONS: GENERAL INFORMATION |
Piano lessons are available for ages 6 through 106. You're never too old to learn! Leithold Music has ten teachers of private piano lessons. Half-hour weekly lessons are given. Teachers arrange their own schedules and rates ($55 to $65 a month), so call (608)784-7555 to have a piano teacher call you with specific information. For ages 4 through 6, see below.

MUSIC FOR THE YOUNG CHILD |
Piano classes for ages 4 to 6 specialize in beginning piano-playing skills using the keyboard, the piano, rhythm instruments, and musical activities. Special emphasis is given to ear-training and note-reading. Classes meet once a week for a half hour, and cost $8.00 per lesson. A free "Round-Up" demonstration lesson will be given in October and February, and classes will start the following week. Please call 784-7555, or E-mail us, and leave your name and address to be notified about the next session of classes. This class has limited availability. If your child is in the first or second grade, you may wish to pursue private lessons instead. |
KEYBOARD LESSONS

Play For Fun classes meet for about an hour once a week for a six week session. There are also two continuing sessions. In these group lessons, you will learn to read melody and chords in keyboard/organ style. You will also learn to use features such as drum rhythms, accompaniments and different registrations found on all brands of keyboards and organs. No matter what brand of keyboard or organ you own, this is a fun way to learn a musical hobby! Please pre-register for classes (choose one). CONTINUING PLAY FOR FUN ADULT KEYBOARD CLASSES |
Level II and Level III are also available for adults. Watch for the next Keyboard Kalendar. Please call if you are unsure which level is appropriate. If you missed any of the previous level's classes or it has been a long time, you may wish to repeat a level. Please pre-register, because due to class size, times could be dropped or changed. Mike James continues to offer his popular beginning guitar class, with 6 week sessions beginning several times a year. Beginners age 12 to adult are welcome. Classes will meet once a week for about an hour. The classes meet Thursday evenings at 7:30 for about an hour. The cost is only $69.95 for the session which includes all materials and the use of one of our guitars. If you already have your own guitar, the cost is $59.95. Pre-registration is necessary due to class size limitations. The first ten people registered and pre-paid will have their spots reserved. Newspaper advertisements will appear soon, so register now! PRIVATE GUITAR LESSONS |
Leithold Music has four teachers of private guitar lessons. Half-hour weekly lessons are available for children ages 7 through adult, for beginners through intermediate. Teachers arrange their own schedules and rates ($55 to $65 a month), so call 784-7555 to have a guitar teacher call you with specific information. Don't own a guitar? Leithold Music has a rental plan for beginners! Rent a guitar for $20.00 a month up to three months, and all rent paid applies to the purchase of a guitar. |

Kids and adults wanting to learn "drumset" styles are encouraged to take lessons with Les King and Josh Shively. These experienced instructors teach all styles. Half-hour weekly lessons are given for $55.00 -$60.00 per month.
