Bob Ogren
Bob Ogren is a longtime employee of Leithold Music specializing in woodwind repair. With 46 years of experience, he cheerfully helps people get more enjoyment from their instruments. Bob is the designer of the Performance Flute Plug and Hot Sax Mouthpiece Baffle (shop our site for these products). He also specializes in making custom flute head joints. Bob studied at Red Wing Technical College for instrument repair, class of '77-'78.
John Helm
John Helm is originally from Southwestern Michigan, and a graduate of Western Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science in Music on tuba with a minor in Art. John also graduated from the Red Wing Technical College where he studied Band Instrument Repair and has been a repair technician since 1993 with a focus on brass and woodwind repairs. John joined Leithold Music in 2007 as the Brass Repair Technician, but also works as a woodwind and percussion technician, school service representative, repair clinician, and test fitter for beginning band students.As a local musician, John currently performs with the La Crosse Concert Band, Da Capo Musical Reunion Concert Band, Winona Brass Band and various other part time small brass ensembles. John also supports several area music ensembles by serving on their board of directors as well as hold a position on the executive board.
