Luyben Clarinet Cap/Ligature Opaque

The Luyben Clarinet Ligature is one of the most iconic, well known ligatures. Known for their marvelous combination of performance and affordability, the Luyben clarinet ligature has been used by almost anyone who has played clarinet! These ligatures are made out of plastic in order to keep the weight impact low on the performance. Inside the ligature, they feature 4 dual point contacts on the outside corners of the reed blank. This allows for exceptional reed vibration and is especially good for student clarinetists as it does not hinder the reed’s vibration in any way!

• Will not distort or crush reed fibers nor warp mouthpiece as do metal ligatures
• Top and bottom straps are spaced wider apart and work independently of eachother (helps regulate and control reed opening)
• Sound posts are scientifically designed to give equal pressure and full reed vibration (notice holes in center of sound posts)
• Tighen firmly-threads will not strip. Ligature will not slip.

Please note, the Luyben clarinet ligature does need to be “fit” to the mouthpiece. Luyben does include a full set of instructions on obtaining the ideal fit for their ligature on the back of their package.
