Innovation that Inspires
Over the 20+ year history of the series, Xeno trumpets have continued to evolve with the artists who play them. In 2014, drawing from the knowledge and innovative concepts learned through the development of the Artist Model Chicago C trumpet, the entire Xeno Bb series was redesigned to attain the ultimate goal of ideal musical expression. This large bore Xeno Bb trumpet model features a reversed leadpipe and yellow brass bell for quicker response and playing agility. The combination of a heavy mouthpiece receiver and removal of the third valve water key results in a superb balance of playability and tonal quality. With this model, musicians will be able to produce a firm sound in all dynamic ranges, from delicate pianissimo to powerful fortissimo.
Reverse tuning slide
The YTR-8345RS achieves smooth resistance and airflow that only a reverse tuning slide design can offer, for easy, comfortable playability and harmonically rich tone.
Thinner Valve casing and pistons, modified angle of branch tube (knuckle)
Thinner valvecasing and pistons, as well as the modified angle of the branch tube (knuckle), result in improved response and provide the performer with an ideal blowing resistance.
The button on 1st slide
The button on the 1st slide is to fine-tune the blowing resistance for better control.
Improved Water Key
The height of the main slide water key gutter has been increased for optimum resistance, and the ends of the water key spring have been curled for improved response.
