Lovely Lyon and Healy Style C a style mandolin in fantastic original condition. A versatile instrument with excellent rich sound. This example dates from circa 1928(?) and features the original longer 13-3/4" scale length neck that meets the body around the 10th fret, and earlier "stairstep" peghead shape. The body is fully bound and features high grade flamed maple back/sides with straight grained spruce for the top; original pickguard and tailpiece. Some scratches, playwear, but no cracks or repairs. The neck has an extended ebony fingerboard with 1-3/16" (much wider than earlier) nut width. Some scratching on the overlay and some wear on back of neck. Includes original hard case.
