This collection of ten originals is playable by any combination of Bells, Xylophone, Vibraphone or Marimba. As in all of Murray’s previous Contest sets, pieces are cleverly titled for easy identification and feature an array of popular styles- rock, waltz, march. Latin, Baroque, jazz, ragtime, polka, and even an Irish air. While use of specific mallets is generally left to the discretion of the teacher and student, some helpful suggestions are included in the foreword.
